Season 2016christchurch2

More than 600 teams are competing in the Christchurch Netball Centre winter competition this season, including our ANZ futureFERNS years 3, 4 and 5.

These games are supported by more than 135 umpires registered with us this season.

The ‘Vivace’ Premier combined competition has entered its final phase with teams divided into 3 sections according to their rankings in the first round of games.

At the completion of this competition Premier 1 and Premier 2 grades will commence the Championship round of the 2016 competition on 7 June. Some great games are forecast to be played in this competition leading into the championship round later in the season, when Beko League and some Tactix players will be on court for their club sides.

We thank our supportive Committees, our dedicated group of volunteers and of course clubs and their players and officials for their participation and work to date.

Sunday Nettabury sessionschristchurch3

Our Sunday Nettabury sessions for preschoolers continue to be a wonderful avenue for enthusiastic young boys and girls to participate in netball related skills and drills.

This 8 week program encourages all members of the family to participate. This program is run alongside our ANZ futureFERNS Years 1 & 2, which also runs on a Sunday from 10am.

Masters grade

Expressions of interest are invited from teams interested in a Masters Grade competition.  Commencement of this grade is proposed for July with all games held indoors on either Saturday or Sunday at St Margarets College gym.

To qualify players must be 30 years or older however some age dispensations are available. Strict club uniforms are not required, teams can be a group of individuals which will be linked to a club, shorts/leggings or skins/skirts are able to be worn so long as the entire team are in same and ideally same colours.

The introduction of this grade is a new innovation so flexibility is available.  To register an interest, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. before 25 June 2016.
