The purpose and vision of the Netball Mainland Youth Advisory Group is to guide the youth by being their voice on aspects of netball concerning them. We inform and consult with other groups to find solutions to challenges involving our youth, and creating opportunities for them. We aim to share our passion for netball, to enable others to experience the same.

Emily Matthews

Age: 20
Occupation: Second year studying primary teaching at the University of Canterbury
Based: Christchurch
Netball Involvement: Player but have also coached in the past.
Other Interests: Volunteering at Radio Lollipop at Christchurch Hospital, playing the guitar.
Favourite Holiday Destination: Anywhere that has a beach!
Message to Aspiring YAG Members: Give it a go; you never know what might come out of it!

Kate Woollett

Age: 17
Occupation:Based: Year 12 student at Rangiora High
Netball Involvement: Player, coach and umpire. Currently playing for Ohoka Prem team and NCNC U17 Blue.
Other Interests: Travelling, tennis and baking.
Favourite Holiday Destination: New York

Tash Van Koeverden

Age: 20
Occupation: Third year at University of Canterbury, completely a bachelor's degree in education
Based: Christchurch.
Netball Involvement: Player and coach. Involved in many rep teams through the years. Currently play for Saints Premier A team.
Other Interests: Touch, swimming, baking and dancing.
Favourite Holiday Destination: Paris

Nicole Lloyd

Age: 22
Occupation: Year 7 teacher - Christchurch South Intermediate.
Based: Christchurch.
Netball Involvement: Player for Technical Club, Coach at St Margaret's College and U14 Rep team.
Other Interests: Any sport! Teaching others, relaxing with friends.
Favourite Holiday Destination: Kaiteriteri

Age: 19
Occupation: Second year University of Canterbury, Bachelor of arts.
Based: Christchurch
Netball Involvement: Netball umpire. Used to play and coach netball.
Other Interests: Swmming, travelling.
Favourite Holiday Destination: Canada

Hannah MacDonald

Age:17
Occupation: Year 13 student at Marlborough Girls College.
Based: Marlborough
Netball Involvement: Player, coach and umpire and also in the under 17 rep team.
Other Interests: Sport, relaxing, travelling, squash, anything active really!
Favourite Holiday Destination: Gold Coast
